Q: How do I register?

When registration is open, it will be available online and a link will be posted. You will be taken to the registration page of our timing partner, RunFAR Racing Services. That’s it! We’ll see you at the race.

Q: When should I arrive?

If you are pre-registered, we recommend you arrive at least 30 minutes before the race begins. If you need to register, please arrive up to one hour prior to the race start.

Q: Is the race open to walkers?

A: Yes, the 5K distance is open both to run or walk. Please be courteous of others and start at the back of the pack to avoid any collisions.

Q: Is this run timed?

The 5K will be timed using state-of-the-art ChronoTrack timing systems. The ChronoTrack system uses a disposable tag, called a D-Tag, which allows you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.

The ChronoTrack timing tag (D-Tag) will be attached to your race bib. The D-Tag will be labeled with a number that matches your race number. When you pick up your bib, please make sure these numbers match, and also verify that YOUR name is printed on the bib you are issued.

Prior to the race, you must remove the tag from your number and attach it to your shoe. Please follow the instructions provided in your registration packet.

Q: Is the course USATF certified?

Yes, the 2017 Del Frisco’s 5K Run is USATF Certified.

Q: Can I pick up my packet on race day?

A: Participants are highly encouraged to pick up their packets during the designated packet pickup times, although you can pick up your packet on race day. Please arrive at least one hour before the race to ensure enough time. CLICK HERE for information on packet pickup.

Q: Are there age group awards?

Yes, we are awarding trophies to: Overall Male & Female, Overall Masters Male & Female (40+) and Medal to the Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+.

Q: I can’t run. Can I get a refund or transfer my entry?

Unfortunately, all participant entries are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Q: Do you allow MP3 players and music devices?


Q: Do you allow strollers?

Yes! We are proud to host a family-friendly event, and welcome strollers. We ask that participants bringing strollers remain toward the end of the starting line as a courtesy to other runners.

Q: Are dogs allowed at the DFRG Run with the Troops 5K?

No dogs are allowed at the Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group 5K, with the exception of service animals. We ask that participants bringing a service animal please notify the event staff in advance.
